Moustache Unplugged #12

hehehe....undetected, I take the opportunity to work on my letter....

Dear Fellow Appalled Citizens,

On January 1, 2013, two police officers, one on duty and the other home after calling in sick, teamed up together for an incredibly outrageous crime in the quiet city streets of Boulder, Colorado. Under the cover of darkness, the on-duty officer stalked "Big Boy" through street lamps, front porch lights and leftover Christmas decorations. While Big Boy grazed in a yard under a crab apple tree, a bullet ripped through him and ended his life.  The officers' plan was in full motion. It wasn't even close to resembling a hunt, but merely a greedy killing and a wanton destruction of life.

Big Boy had become a neighborhood elk mascot and was treasured by residents and outdoor enthusiasts who admired his beauty and hulking antlers. The disgusting bloodlust thirst to destroy this animal overrode common sense as the plan developed between the dynamic dipshit duo.

Poaching by anyone is offensive. Poaching by public servants, especially on-duty, who are trusted and expected to be beyond reproach is over the top scandalous. These officers shamed not only themselves, but also the law enforcement community.

Trust is an incredibly tender subject. It takes time to earn it. I'll say it again because it is important;  TRUST IS EARNED. It takes one simple breach of this sacred trust to shatter it into tiny fragments where it may never be put back together as a whole. These uniformed embarrassments exploded a bomb on the trust factor and continued to use their positions to attempt to cover up their crime. Fabricating excuses, forging a fake document to claim Big Boy was roadkill, etc further broke the shards of trust into finer pieces of dust.

The now ex-officer who had been called to haul away and dismember Big Boy is avoiding jail with a plea bargain and will keep any felony off his record if he can act like a law abiding citizen for 2 years.

As for the trigger man, who arrogantly posed with Big Boy like he was on a guided trophy hunt in Alaska, the jury saw through his defense arguemnts of how Big Boy was supposedly dangerously domesticated and aggressive and needed to be destroyed. They convicted him of all 9 counts, 3 of which are felonies.

That ex-officer is staring at up to 6 years in prison. Because of the damage he did, not only killing Big Boy, but to the relationship of law enforcment and the public, he should be sweating that the judge will make an example out of him during sentencing.

Alot of eyes will be watching and alot of ears pinpricked on sentencing day.

My whiskers are still twitching at this lunacy.

Thanks for listening,
The Moustache
